BAYAC coaches, mentors, and guides

up-and-coming educators in the Bay Area as they navigate their next steps in their careers.

BAYAC (Bay Area Youth Agency Consortium) is a National Service program oBay Area Community Resources. We aim to develop emerging leaders and strengthen Bay Area communities. Our BAYAC AmeriCorps Members commit to a year of service at partnering schools and community based organizations, providing youth in the San Francisco Bay Area with opportunities for meaningful engagement, skill building, and emotional and social development.

Many of the children and youth we work with are deeply impacted by the stressors and obstacles presented by poverty, disadvantaged neighborhoods and under-resourced schools.

Currently, we partner with over 30 community service organizations to serve youth and families in the Bay Area. Our AmeriCorps members are an essential component in expanding our partners’ capacity to meet the critical needs of these youth and communities, as strong connections between adults and youth in youth development programs have a proven long-term impact in helping youth avoid risky behaviors, graduate from high school, and stay out of contact with the justice system.
